Mumbai : Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC) delivered a strong financial performance in the fourth quarter and full year of 2025, driven by efficient operations, network expansion and sustained travel demand. The airline also strengthened its India footprint during the year with the launch of two new routes, enhancing direct connectivity between India and Vietnam and supporting growing business and leisure travel.
Revenue and profit growth remains robust
Vietjet reported standalone revenue of VND29.035 trillion (approx. US$1.11 billion) in Q4 2025, marking a sharp 47% year-on-year rise. Full-year standalone revenue reached VND81.426 trillion (approx. US$3.13 billion), up 14% YoY. For the full year, consolidated revenue stood at VND82.093 trillion (approx. US$3.16 billion), increasing 14% YoY. Consolidated pre-tax and post-tax profits reached VND2.630 trillion (approx. US$101.3 million) and VND2.123 trillion (approx. US$81.7 million), growing 44.3% and 51.2% respectively, exceeding 120% of the annual plan.
To support long-term growth, the airline issued 50 million shares during the year, raising equity by VND5 trillion (approx. US$192.6 million).
Network expansion drives growth
In Q4 2025, Vietjet carried over 6.7 million passengers across 36,100 flights. For the full year, the airline transported 28.2 million passengers on 153,000 flights, reflecting growth of 9% and 11.2% respectively. Cargo volume reached 113,923 tonnes.
The airline operated 254 routes in 2025, including 52 domestic and 202 international services, and added 22 new routes. This included new direct services connecting Hyderabad and Bengaluru with Ho Chi Minh City, strengthening connectivity between India and Vietnam.
Strategic investments support long-term expansion
Vietjet expanded its fleet with the delivery of 22 aircraft in Q4 2025, marking its largest single-period fleet addition to date. The airline also signed a major agreement with Airbus for the purchase of 100 A321neo aircraft, along with a US$3.8 billion contract with Rolls-Royce for 92 Trent 7000 engines and long-term maintenance services.
Customer experience and global recognition
Vietjet continued to enhance its customer offering through Business Class services, the SkyJoy loyalty programme, in-flight retail, multi-channel booking and payment platforms, and its AI virtual assistant, Amy.
During 2025, the airline received several international recognitions, including listings among the World’s Safest Airlines and Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline, along with AirlineRatings’ Sustainability Award. It was also named Asia’s Leading Airline for Customer Experience, ranked among ASEAN’s Most Valuable Airline Brands by Brand Finance, featured in Forbes Vietnam’s Top 50 Companies, certified a Best Place to Work in Asia, and honoured with the Gold ESG Transport Award in Taiwan.
With strong financial results, expanding international reach and continued investment, Vietjet enters 2026 positioned for sustained growth and global expansion.
