Mumbai : Škoda Auto India has marked a significant milestone as its popular compact SUV, the Kylaq, completes one year in the Indian market, crossing 50,000 units in sales. Riding on this strong momentum, the company has announced an expanded variant lineup, additional feature upgrades and special anniversary benefits, further strengthening its value proposition in the competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment.

The Kylaq has emerged as a key growth driver for Škoda Auto India, contributing notably to the brand’s best-ever sales performance in 2025, which also marked 25 years of Škoda in India. With its combination of safety, driving dynamics, technology and strong value, the model continues to gain steady customer acceptance across markets.

Commenting on the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the Kylaq reflects the company’s long-term commitment to India and its strategy to democratise European technology for Indian customers. He added that the expanded range and feature enhancements aim to offer more choice, better accessibility and stronger value, while making the Kylaq the most affordable car in its segment to offer a full-fledged torque converter automatic transmission.

Expanded range with more choice

With the latest update, the Kylaq lineup has grown from four variants to six and is now available across 11 price points. The company has introduced a new Classic+ variant, positioned between the entry-level Classic and the Signature trim, while Prestige+ has been added as the new top-of-the-line variant. The broader lineup is designed to cater to a wider customer base across different price brackets.

Classic+ enhances accessibility

The newly introduced Classic+ variant brings several premium features to a more accessible price point. It comes equipped with an electric sunroof, cruise control, auto IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights and taillights with daytime running lights, and a multi-function steering wheel. Importantly, it becomes the most affordable model in its segment to offer a proper torque-converter automatic transmission.

Feature upgrades across higher trims

Based on customer demand, the Signature and Signature+ variants now receive additional features including an electric sunroof, paddle shifters for automatic versions, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, and LED reading lamps. The Prestige range has also been restructured into Prestige and Prestige+, giving customers more flexibility in choosing fully-loaded variants.

Strong focus on safety and ownership

Škoda continues to position the Kylaq as one of the safest ICE vehicles in its segment, with the highest Bharat NCAP safety rating. All variants come standard with six airbags and more than 25 safety features, while higher trims offer over 40 safety features. The model is backed by a 4-year standard warranty, 4-year roadside assistance and four labour-free services, along with scheduled maintenance check-ins aimed at improving transparency and ownership experience.

Anniversary offers announced

To celebrate the Kylaq’s first anniversary, Škoda Auto India has introduced limited-period offers valid until February 28, 2026. Customers can avail benefits of up to ₹50,000 on select variants, a 50 percent discount on the one-year Škoda Maintenance Package, and an assured gift with every Kylaq purchase.

With an expanded lineup, richer feature set and customer-focused ownership packages, the Kylaq is expected to further strengthen Škoda Auto India’s presence in the compact SUV segment in 2026.
