Gandhinagar  : Golden Katar Division organised a comprehensive Drone Awareness Capsule from January 6 to January 10, aimed at enhancing operational awareness and preparedness of Para Military Forces and State Security Agencies against emerging drone-related threats.

The five-day capsule was attended by over 150 personnel from the Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Gujarat Police, National Security Guard, National Disaster Response Force, and State Disaster Response Force.

The objective of the capsule was to provide structured understanding of drone technology, basic drone handling, and counter-drone measures relevant to contemporary operational, internal security, and disaster response environments. The training covered fundamentals of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), identification of hostile drone activity, operational deployment of drones, and effective counter-measures to mitigate potential aerial threats.

The programme also served as a platform for inter-agency interaction and exchange of operational experiences, fostering stronger coordination and mutual understanding among participating forces. Special emphasis was laid on practical exposure, evolving threat scenarios, and the importance of joint preparedness to address drone-enabled challenges.

The initiative reflects Golden Katar Division’s sustained focus on capacity building, technological orientation, and strengthening operational synergy among sister agencies, thereby enhancing collective readiness to respond to emerging and future security challenges.
