New Delhi : PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Shivalik Small Finance Bank to take life insurance closer to customers in semi-urban and rural parts of the country.

The collaboration will enable over one million existing and prospective customers of Shivalik Small Finance Bank to access PNB MetLife’s range of life insurance products, spanning savings, protection, and retirement solutions. The move is aimed at addressing gaps in insurance awareness and accessibility in regions that remain underserved by traditional financial services.

Shivalik Small Finance Bank currently operates through 79 branches and 136 exclusive Business Correspondent outlets across 11 states. By leveraging this on-ground network, the partnership seeks to integrate insurance offerings seamlessly with everyday banking, making financial protection more accessible to families outside major urban centres.

Commenting on the partnership, Sameer Bansal, Managing Director and CEO of PNB MetLife, said the collaboration reflects the company’s focus on expanding insurance penetration where access and affordability have historically been limited. He added that the partnership would help more families build long-term financial security and confidence.

Anshul Swami, Managing Director and CEO of Shivalik Small Finance Bank, said the alliance aligns with the bank’s mission to empower customers in emerging markets. By combining banking and insurance services, the bank aims to offer more comprehensive financial solutions that support customers’ long-term needs.

The partnership is expected to strengthen financial inclusion efforts by bringing together PNB MetLife’s insurance expertise and Shivalik Small Finance Bank’s strong rural and semi-urban presence.
