Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: In a landmark and emotionally resonant moment, the makers of Border 2 unveiled the film’s song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ at the historic Longewala–Tanot sector in Jaisalmer, transforming the musical launch into a powerful tribute to the nation’s armed forces. The event was held in the presence of Indian Army and BSF personnel, lending rare authenticity and national significance to the occasion.
More than a conventional song launch, the unveiling marked a defining milestone in the journey of Border 2, seamlessly blending cinema, music, and real-life bravery at one of India’s most symbolic frontiers. The desert landscape of Longewala–Tanot—etched in the country’s military history—added unmatched gravity, as the song found its first audience among the very men and women whose spirit the film seeks to honour.
The song brings together an exceptional creative collaboration. Originally composed by Anu Malik, the track has been reimagined by Mithoon, with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, expanding upon the legacy of the original words penned by Javed Akhtar. The result is a layered, emotionally expansive composition that feels collective, human, and deeply rooted in longing and sacrifice.
‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ is voiced by an extraordinary lineup of singers—Roopkumar Rathod, Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh—each adding depth to the song’s emotional narrative.
The launch was attended by lead actors Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, along with producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta. Their presence underscored the scale, intent, and emotional weight of the film, reinforcing the collective commitment behind this cinematic tribute.
As the music echoed across the desert frontier, the atmosphere was charged with pride, gratitude, and shared respect. For those present, the moment transcended entertainment—it became a reflection of Border 2’s core ethos: love for the nation, brotherhood in uniform, and the quiet resilience that defines military service.
The Longewala–Tanot unveiling has now etched itself as one of the most significant chapters in the promotion of Border 2, strengthening its emotional connect with audiences even before release. The team expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Army and BSF for their warmth, presence, and unwavering service, calling the launch an honour and a humbling experience.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features a powerful ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh.
