Surya Kumar Yadav Inspires Class of 2025 at GLS University’s 9th Convocation Ceremony

Ahmedabad: GLS University marked a defining academic milestone with the successful conduct of its 9th Convocation Ceremony, honouring the achievements of the Class of 2025. The ceremony, held at the GLS Campus near Law Garden, Ellisbridge, witnessed the conferment of degrees upon 5,003 students across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.

The prestigious occasion was graced by an eminent gathering of dignitaries, led by Chief Guest Surya Kumar Yadav. He was joined by Sudhir Nanavati, Pankaj Patel, and Chandni Kapadia, along with senior faculty members, academic leaders, students and their families.In his convocation address, Surya Kumar Yadav inspired graduates to embrace discipline, resilience and unwavering commitment in their professional journeys. Drawing from his own experiences, he emphasised that sustained success is built on perseverance and integrity, and urged students to lead with purpose in an increasingly competitive world.

Addressing the gathering, Sudhir Nanavati highlighted the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning. He reminded students that the real world demands constant evolution and the courage to face uncertainty, adding that curiosity and confidence would remain their greatest assets in navigating future challenges.

Pankaj Patel congratulated the graduating cohort and encouraged them to think beyond immediate career milestones. Stressing the value of innovation and entrepreneurship, he noted that early failures are not setbacks but stepping stones towards meaningful impact and long-term success.

Chandni Kapadia expressed pride in the accomplishments of the students, describing the convocation as both a culmination and a beginning. She encouraged graduates to remain prepared, value-driven and resilient, underlining that rejection and delay often serve as redirection towards one’s true potential.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of Honorary Doctorates upon Vijay Chauthaiwale, in recognition of his contributions to diplomacy and nation-building, and Siddharth Randeria, for his outstanding contribution to Gujarati theatre, cinema and literature.

Academic excellence was further celebrated as 40 meritorious students were awarded Gold and Silver Medals, 37 research scholars received their Ph.D. degrees, and 40 students were honoured with ‘Best Student’ Awards across disciplines including Law, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Management and Design.

The convocation concluded with a strong sense of optimism and pride, as graduates, faculty and families reflected on the journey completed and the possibilities ahead. The Class of 2025 leaves the institution equipped not only with academic credentials, but with the confidence, values and vision to lead responsibly and make a meaningful contribution to society.
