Ahmedabad: ShemarooMe has announced the digital premiere of the Gujarati dark-comedy thriller Shubhchintak, set to stream exclusively on the platform from December 18, 2025. The film marks a notable addition to Gujarati cinema, introducing a genre blend that combines sharp humour with suspense and emotional complexity.
Directed by Nisarg Vaidya, Shubhchintak brings together a strong ensemble cast led by Manasi Parekh, Swapnil Joshi—who makes his debut in Gujarati cinema—and Viraf Patell. The film also features Deep Vaidya, Mehul Buch, Tusharika Rajyaguru, Nisarg Trivedii, Morli Patel, and Viya Rathod. It is produced by Parthiv Gohil and Manasi Parekh, with Dhaval Thakkar associated with the production.
The story follows Meghna, a young woman who, along with two accomplices, plans a honey-trap to take revenge on Sanjay. What starts as a seemingly controlled scheme soon spirals into a series of unexpected, often humorous, yet emotionally charged situations. As events unfold, Meghna is forced to confront the moral cost of revenge and the unintended consequences of her actions.
Speaking about the film, Manasi Parekh said, “Shubhchintak is a fast-paced dark-comedy thriller that offers a fresh narrative tone for Gujarati cinema. After the encouraging response to our earlier films, we wanted to explore a genre that Gujarati audiences do not often get to experience. Premiering on ShemarooMe allows the film to reach viewers who are open to new, experimental storytelling. Swapnil Joshi’s debut in Gujarati cinema adds a special dimension to this project, and we are excited for audiences to experience it.”
With Shubhchintak, ShemarooMe continues to strengthen its position as a key digital destination for contemporary Gujarati content, curating films that go beyond conventional storytelling and reflect the evolving tastes of regional audiences.
Shubhchintak will be available for streaming exclusively on ShemarooMe starting December 18, 2025.
