TPL Season 7 Brings World-Class Tennis to Ahmedabad with a Stellar International Roster

Ahmedabad : The stage is set for the seventh season of the Tennis Premier League (TPL), powered by Clear Premium Water, kicking off on 9th December at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium. With participation from eight dynamic franchises, backed by tennis icons Leander Paes, Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi, this edition promises a full week of thrilling, fast-paced tennis.

Teams will battle through five league matches each from 9–13 December, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals and final on 14th December. TPL’s signature, quickfire format includes four 25-point rounds — Women’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles — making every match a high-stakes contest of 100 points.

Season 7 brings a strong international lineup with players ranked inside the ATP/WTA Top 50, alongside India’s finest tennis athletes. Every franchise features a marquee star leading their campaign.

Team Highlights:

  • SG Pipers: Led by Indian tennis legend & two-time Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna, along with Shrivalli Bhamidipaty and Ramkumar Ramanathan.

  • Rajasthan Rangers: Powered by Italy’s explosive World No. 26 Luciano Darderi, Russia’s Anastasia Gasanova and Dhakshineshwar Suresh.

  • Gurgaon Grand Slammers: Anchored by Britain’s Daniel Evans (former World No. 21), teamed with India’s top women’s singles player Sahaja Yamalapalli and Sriram Balaji.

  • Gujarat Panthers: Led by France’s World No. 42 Alexandre Muller, Italy’s Nuria Brancaccio and Anirudh Chandrasekhar.

  • Hyderabad Strikers (Defending Champions): Featuring Spain’s Pedro Martinez (World No. 93), France’s Carole Monnet, and veteran Indian doubles specialist Vishnu Vardhan.

  • Yash Mumbai Eagles: Commanded by Bosnia’s former World No. 23 Damir Džumhur, Burundi’s Sada Nahimana and Niki Poonacha.

  • GS Delhi Aces: Led by Britain’s No. 4 Billy Harris, along with Belgian youngster Sofia Costoulas and India’s Jeevan Nedunchezchiyan.

  • Chennai Smashers: Featuring Czech rising star Dalibor Svrcina, Romania’s Irina Bara and Indian doubles player Rithvik Bollipalli.

TPL Season 7 will be streamed live on JioStar and broadcast on Sony Sports Network, making it the only league in India simultaneously available on both digital and television platforms.
