Ankleshwar: The Indian Air Force’s renowned Sarang Helicopter Display Team is set to enthrall residents of Bharuch district with a breathtaking aerial performance over the Ankleshwar Airfield. The vibrant and precision-driven helicopter team will conduct practice displays from 3 to 5 December 2025, followed by a grand public showcase on 7 December 2025 from 0930 hours onwards at the Ankleshwar Airstrip.

Sarang”—derived from the Sanskrit word for peacock—serves as a proud aerial ambassador of the Indian Air Force, symbolizing professionalism, precision, and the unwavering commitment of its Air Warriors. Since making their international debut at the Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore in 2004, the Sarangs have performed over 1,200 displays across more than 390 venues worldwide, earning global acclaim for their synchronized aerobatic maneuvers.

The team flies the indigenously designed and developed Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), created by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Operated in its agile ALH Mk I variant, the helicopter reflects India’s pursuit of Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) and showcases the nation’s technological capabilities with its all-weather, multi-mission versatility.

As the Sarang team takes to the skies of Ankleshwar, spectators can expect a thrilling demonstration of aerial excellence, discipline, and national pride — hallmarks of the Indian Air Force.
