Kochi : Harrisons Malayalam Ltd. (HML), a member of the RPG Group, has been awarded the esteemed Gold Medal at the North American Tea Competition 2025. The tea produced at HML’s Arrapetta Estate in Wayanad, Kerala, was recognized as the winner during the 2025 Gold Medal Tea and Sustainability Awards at the 14th annual North American Tea Conference held in Charleston, USA.
HML, overseeing 24 estates in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, has been recognized for its Specialty Teas from the Different Origins category. This accolade reflects the tea’s outstanding quality, consistency, and dedication to sustainable plantation practices. In addition to competing with other tea-producing nations, 33 samples from India were assessed for this prestigious award.

The competition is organised by the Tea Association of the U.S.A., Inc. and the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada. The achievement also positions HML as a leading promoter of Indian specialty teas on the global stage. Apart from HML, another estate has been awarded as a winner from India.
