Dream Foundation Partners with Gujarat Police to Tackle Obesity Among SRPF Personnel

Ahmedabad : Dream Foundation, in collaboration with the SRPF Group 2 (Gujarat Police), organized an important seminar focused on obesity awareness for State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) personnel at their headquarters in Naroda Patiya. The event drew over 375 SRPF officers, demonstrating a robust collective effort to promote health and wellness within the police community.

 

Seminar on Health Risks and Lifestyle Management : Under the leadership of SPS Commandant Manjita Vanzara, the seminar showcased valuable insights from Dr. Nehal Sadhu, MD, a distinguished physician, cardiologist, and diabetologist, along with Dr. Bipin Patel, MD, both esteemed members of the Ahmedabad Physician Association. The doctors emphasized the significant health risks associated with obesity, including:

  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Specific women’s health concerns

They also offered practical recommendations on:

  • Nutrition
  • Portion control
  • Stress management
  • Embracing healthier lifestyle habits, especially considering the demanding nature of police work.

Senior Police Officers SP Shri P. P. Vyas and DYSP Shri L. D. Rathod attended the seminar, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to the welfare of their teams.

 

 

 

DYSP Rathod highlighted the importance of the workshop, stating, “The workshop organized by Dream Foundation to raise awareness about obesity is more than just a seminar; it is a crucial step toward fostering a healthier police force.”
