Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management (IITRAM )Unveils New Girls’ and Boys’ Hostels Alongside E-1 Staff Quarters

Ahmedabad:  The Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM), situated in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, proudly inaugurated its newly constructed Girls’ Hostel, Boys’ Hostel, and E-1 Type Staff Quarters today. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Shri Rushikesh Patel, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister from the Government of Gujarat, who served as the Chief Guest. Shri Mukesh Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

 

Spanning 2.75 acres, the new complex features state-of-the-art facilities including a Boys’ Hostel with a capacity for 976 students, a Girls’ Hostel for 288 students, and Faculty Quarters with 3 BHK apartments. Additionally, a Guest House is designed to accommodate 56 guests. Amenities such as a swimming pool, reading room, entertainment room, and dedicated study areas enhance the living experience.

 

Prof. Pramod K. Jain, Director General of IITRAM, welcomed the esteemed guests and shared insights into the institute’s vision and projects. He highlighted IITRAM’s commitment to infrastructure-related education, skill development, and research, stating, “Our goal is to be a key source of trained manpower for India’s infrastructure development.” He further noted that the new hostels would attract students from all over the country.

 

Ms. Riya Modi, Superintendent Engineer from the Roads and Buildings Department, provided an overview of the architectural and functional aspects of the new housing complex.

 

Shri Mukesh Kumar, IAS, who also served as IITRAM’s first Director General, reflected on the initial challenges of securing land for the project. He reiterated the institute’s mission to be a leading hub for infrastructure development, expressing confidence that the new facilities would draw top talent nationwide.

 

Shri Rushikesh Patel, in his address, praised the institute’s efforts to expand its infrastructure and encouraged exploring innovative resource generation methods, such as launching new academic programs in both online and offline formats.

 

This event marks a significant milestone in IITRAM’s journey to becoming a premier institution for infrastructure education and research.
